Here is where we poke fun of the things that irritate.

Andy is one.

Don't misunderstand, "Management" at ARUP have some excellent leaders devoted to their colleagues, ARUP and those who report to them.

There are a few that are NOT leaders and are devoted simply to themselves and their friends. We depict Andy as a horses ass. Those who have been threatened, those who have been fired and those left behind and ignored resent the fact that the Board allows him to operate as CEO. We expect better.

Some call him Andy. Others think he's a horses ass.

Andy is not alone.

Jenna was in over her head but remained calm fearing exposure of her ignorance and preferring to take other's work and present it as her own along with the Harvard Emblem, of course.  She spent 7 years getting a Ph.D., co-signed one published on the arcane discipline of xxxxxxxxx. Plenty of time with a microscope carries over to he micro management style.  She insists on being called "Doctor" and thoroughly pleased with the confusion between M.D. and Ph.D. She knows everything so no need to ask except for the assignments she gives to staff to write explanations for things she knows nothing about, like bits and bytes. Gimme a white lab coat and I too can be a "doctor", right?

How is it possible for an IT burdened company to create a "Leadership" so void of IT experience? How can a company survive an in-bred and narrow thinking IT staff? Money. Just throw more money at it. It'll be fine.

Sarah, on the other hand is working hard to fill her mother's shoes. At the rate she has been advanced she'll be looking at curtains for Andy's office soon.  CIO? Again, the geniuses in the C-Suite place into a position where she cannot possibly succeed because she simply does not have the years of background or experience to meet the minimal requirements of that position.

This snapshot was taken at the last "Leadership" meeting.

There are irritants in abundance at ARUP caused by poor "Leadership", hubris, incompetence, etc. Some of it has been going on for many years, much of it, not so long that we can't remember what it was like "before." We'd like to see that change.

In the current environment infecting much of ARUP change is possible but not likely.

The emperor(s) and oligarki have no cloths.
